Garlicky Cilantro Mojo

Garlicky Cilantro Mojo Sauce

Garlicky Cilantro Mojo sauce is one of my go-to sauces and it goes with just about anything. Whip up a batch to drizzle over tacos, grilled chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, eggs, roasted veggies, and potatoes. It has fresh and bright flavors with a little bit of spice!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup roughly chopped cilantro 1 bunch
  • 1 jalapeno roughly chopped and seeds removed (see note 2)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 teaspoons lime juice or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Add cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, salt, coriander, cumin, and 2 teaspoons lime juice to a food processor. Pulse to create a rough paste.

  2. Turn the food processor on and slowly stream in the olive oil until a smooth sauce is formed.

  3. Taste and add additional lime juice, if desired.

Recipe Notes

  1. Recipe is adapted from Jose Pizarro's Salt-Crusted Potatoes with Cilantro Mojo.
  2. To keep the sauce mild, remove all seeds from the jalapeño. To make the sauce a little spicy, keep either half or all of the jalapeño seeds.

STORE IT IN THE FRIDGE

Garlicky Cilantro Mojo Sauce will keep in the fridge for 4 - 5 days.
